IIMS Brings Professional Marine Surveying to Middle East’s Maritime and Transport Sector

PRLog (Press Release) – Nov 16, 2009 – DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - The International Institute of Marine Surveying (IIMS), the largest independent marine surveying organisation in the world, has landed on Middle East shores and opened its first chapter in this region in Dubai with Captain Zarir S. Irani as its Regional Director. The Dubai branch will be the focal point of contact for the GCC marine industry. To kickstart its operations, IIMS will be organising its inaugural ‘Marine Insurance and Claims’ seminar at the SP Jain Centre of Management in Dubai Academic City on the 6th and 7th of December 2009.

The upcoming conference on “Marine Insurance & Claims” covers all aspects of marine surveying for hulls and machinery, cargo and small craft, with a diverse and highly experienced array of speakers and delegates coming from around the world to this first seminar in Dubai.  It will bring together marine specialists, encourage a lively debate and discussion and provide a networking opportunity between international insurance companies and their brokers, salvage experts, Protection and Indemnity Clubs, marine lawyers, marine surveyors, government policy makers and ship owners.
